GAME is hosting the first Street Sports Incubator in Lebanon, an urban innovative experience for all Youth aged 18 to 30 from all backgrounds, genders, and nationalities as part of the Youth RESOLVE 2 project.
The Street Sports incubator is an innovative entrepreneurship program targeting youth with creative ideas in the sports and cultural fields to transform their aspirations into successful entrepreneurial projects, whether as start-ups or communal initiatives.
This program’s main aim is to increase employment rates by developing youth employability skills, creating employment opportunities, and supporting youth to build their career with outstanding competencies.
The Street Sports Incubator (SSI) is a program initially co-designed by GAME and the Jordan Youth Innovation Forum (JYIF) aiming at creating a path for sustainable socio-economic change through youth leadership, entrepreneurship, and sport.
GAME is taking this knowledge and key learnings and transferring it to Lebanon, where entrepreneurship is rising alongside the need for capacity building and education.
GAME Launched the First SSI Cycle in July 2021, the SSI Start-up Camp, the first event of the SSI journey, SSI – Start-up Camp, Phase I- Attract, with 57 participants in 36 projects.
The
participants were introduced
to entrepreneurship, and sports for development and attended sessions that will
enable them to understand how their ideas and project will be implemented.
At the end
of the event, the participants pitched their ideas to a jury to allow them to move
to the full Incubation period, where the winning applicants, 32
projects, will have the chance to Foster,
Grow, and Launch their Startups or Initiatives in a 6-month
training program with professional trainers who will guide and mentor them to
the final pitching at the end of the Incubation to get the seed funding.
This is a
chance for every young person to get the support they need to start their own
small business or initiative in a field that allows them to grow and improves
their wellbeing.
Street Sports Incubator is part of Youth RESOLVE 2, a project funded by the EU, through the Regional Trust Fund in Response to the Syrian Crisis.
